Microsoft Publisher homework
In ICT on Tuesday we learnt how to use publisher. For our homework we were assigned to make a flyer/poster, brochure, calendar, post card or business letter using publisher. For my two activities I decided to do a calendar advertising Tom Clancy (a video game) and also I made a flyer explaining the uses of a Life book. Here is the Calendar advertising Tom Clancy:
For the second activity I decided to do a flyer. My flyer is advertising the soon to come life book that consists of a digital camera, tablet, smartphone and laptop. It is quite amazing. Here it is:

Logo homework
What makes a good logo?
What i think makes a good logo is a creative logo that means not just one thing but many. It also should represent the business or organisation. Like this logo (right). This logo is advertising a food photo blog. It had the speech bubble as the plate and the dinning set as the camera. It fits together really well and is super creative.
A bad example of a logo is Cazzs Sports Bar n' Grille. The design of it is not pointed in the right direction for the expected audience. The colors are to bright and it looks like a kids shop logo. It also is too bright and hurts my eyes.As a bar i would think of the logo to be more creative and serious with darker colors and less colorful.

Five rules for making a cool looking logo are:
1.Creativity- you have to be creative if you want people to like your logo.
2.Appropriate- the logo has to be appropriate and be suitable for the audience.
3.Interesting- make it so that people enjoy seeing it.
4.Understandable- you can be creative but you have to be able to show what the logo is representing.
5.Audience- think of what audience you are appealing to and work with that.
6.Memorable- make it memorable so that people will remember it and it will stick in there head.
7.Simple- you can make it tricky to decipher but remember to keep it simple and easy.
8.Versatile- make it have more then one interpretation and explain many things.
Photo editing- Paint.net
For fun I manipulated a photo I took in Laos. It was a picture of a young monk who was walking the streets at 5:00 A.M. looking for food. I did the same thing with the Statue of Liberty below. It looked really nice. Here it is:
I also took a HDR image of Google and did the same thing with it. It took me at least an hour to get it perfect but it was really fun.

Paint.net
In ICT the other day we learnt about Paint.net and how to use it. I really like Paint.net because it is simple and easy to use. I use it to create almost every poster i make and more. The thing i really like about the lesson was we learnt how to make one object colorful and the rest black and white. For example, we had a picture of The Statue of Liberty and Manhattan in the background we turned into this by making a duplicate layer of the image and making it black and white. After that I put the black and white layer on top and used the eraser to revel the colored layer below. This is how it turned out:
Another thing we did in Ict was learn how to take specific pictures out of the whole image. Like a person out of a photo. We took a bitmap image of a Porsche Boxster and cropped it out of the picture. We then put it on another image with just a blue (or any color you want) and it made the parts you miss stand out. We also cut it into three parts and squished the whole car together so we got more of a Porsche Cayenne look. It looked like a big toy car. Here is the final product:
I really enjoyed learning about Paint.net and hope we get to do more with it.

Thorium video
I added a video to my presentation so that there is every type of Multi Media except animation. The video was orriginally four minutes but i changed the length of it and cut out alot of unnecesssry infoemation. It took me along time to get it perfect. I also added a title "Thorium greener than Uranium. For some reason the video would not finish so i had to use my sisters computer (who had a different version of Movie Maker) and then save it as a youtube video and then embed it on my blog. After a while it finally worked. I didn't know how to make it play on the blog so i have a link to it below.
